Rachel Assinewai — Assist Plus Concierge CEO & Founder

Rachel Assinewai has been in the concierge service industry for 17 years. She began her journey in 2007 by founding Around The Clock Service, a general assistant service that provided companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, appointment scheduling, and transportation for seniors in their homes. Over the years, she has built lasting relationships with many clients, earning numerous recommendations and referrals. Assist Plus Concierge collaborates closely with Michigan State University’s retired professionals, professors, and students. Rachel offers her clientele access to top-tier concierge services such as airport shuttle, medical transport, personal assistance, and more. In her free time, Rachel volunteers and enjoys giving back to the community.

Rachel Assinewai was born and raised in Lansing, MI, and is a band member of Wiikwemkoong Unceded Indian Reserve, located on Manitoulin Island, Ontario (Manidoo Mnis). She actively participates in the Greater Lansing area Native American community, frequently engaging in events at the Nokomis Culture Heritage Center. Through these community connections and as part of mino bimadiziwin (living a good life), she is delighted to give back to her community through her business.
